our storm shelter

I've been cleaning out closets and cabinets to get the house ready to go on the market. It's given Carter new places to play and hide. For a few days the bottom of the linen closet was Carter's "basement," and now the hall closet has become his "storm shelter." We did go in there more than a year ago when we had a middle of the night tornado scare, and he remembers it! So, we've all had to take our turn playing "storm" with Carter today. Notice Carter has his flashlight because you need one in a storm and dark closets.Cleo got tricked into the closet with a dog treat. She is such a trooper. Carter harasses her on a daily basis, even though he really does love her. During the holidays she was his reindeer, most days she's his firehouse dog, and today she was a storm victim.

Cute! It's amazing what they remember from so long ago, isn't it? Jack is always surprising me things he remembers that I forgot. When are you putting the house for sale? I don't envy you. Hope it sells quickly. We went to FL and boarded Misha the first week ours was on the market since that is when most people look and then it was always clean.
