Carter spotted the kiddie train that runs next to the "Paul and Babe Park." I call it that because it's next to the giant Paul Bunyan and Babe statues. Not sure what the name of the park really is. But, I promised him we could go today if the weather was nice, and it was!
Thank goodness this pale little boy isn't opposed to hats.
Carter got to play at the park. It's so pretty with Lake Bemidji behind it. Just for OK people reference--it's 3 times as big and deep as Lake Hefner. The lake is in the middle of the city.
Enjoying our picnic lunch. Then off to get icecream at the stand by Paul and Babe. We also waved at the live web cam in front of the statues first to Grandma Jane and then later to daddy.
Our ride on the train. Stinking mosquitos were driving us crazy! But, Carter loved it. It runs everyday during the summer, so I'm sure we'll be pretty regular there. There's a little stand next to it where you can get cotton candy, ice cream, and other tummy ache inducing snacks :)
