Backyard Sledding

Heavy on the pictures! We got just enough snow to try out some sledding in our backyard. Our little slope heads right off down to the river, so I was having a heart attack watching Jon try to catch Carter at the last second. Thankfully, our neighbors have a nice kid-friendly slope and don't mind if we makes tracks in their yard.
The first few runs down the slope in our yard had me a little concerned!
Graham liked to ride laying down.
Mommy rode too!
Jon tried to surf down. Not the best idea if you ask me, but Carter thought it looked fun!
The worst part of sledding.
Carter liked riding by himself much better but was a good sport for a few runs with Graham.
Graham rode standing up with Jon.
And, of course, hot chocolate afterwards! I got out a Santa mug for Carter--these were a wedding gift from my cousin, Anna, and I love getting them out each year.
Yup, even Graham got some hot chocolate :)

Fun! We just enjoyed our fist hot cocoa of the season this afternoon after we put lights up on the trees outside. But thankfully no snow for us yet!

That's the only thing I really miss about having a real winter! We had some pretty big sledding hills in ID. It makes me a little home sick :(
