Since we live so far away from family, for the most part gifts get shipped to us. So, lately Carter has gotten a few things in the mail, and it really helped stretch out celebrating his birthday! It also got Carter very interested in when the mail arrives (I love checking the mail too, so I'm with him on this one :)
Carter has been wanting a remote controlled helicopter for a very long time. We told him that if he stopped sucking his thumb by his 4th birthday, we would get one for him. He stopped (with some help from anti-nail biting polish), so he got his helicopters today.
He's getting pretty good at controlling it, but Graham does not enjoy the fly-bys!
Carter is geared up and has his lift ticket to go snow tubing. He's so cute when he shows me four fingers because he holds up all five, then uses his other hand to bend the thumb in.
Ready to get hooked onto the lift! Jon, Carter and I tubed while Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Johnny entertained Graham.

Looks like lots of fun! Tell Carter to be watching for his birthday card in the mail...we put it in our frozen mail box today:) Thought he might like it since you mentioned he enjoys checking the mail!
