remodling underway!!

While we were in OKC the ceilings on the main floor started getting the "cottage cheese/popcorn" stuff scraped off. Then while we were at the lake, the basement ceiling started getting torn out. It was a perfectly fine ceiling, but the heat and air guy said it'd be cheaper to pull out the ceiling for in-floor heat. So, we decided to go that route. But...the basement ceiling is super reinforced because 2 owners ago ran a business out of the basement, so it is up to fire code for a business. Plus, some major overkill in reinforcing the bracing. So, the basement ceiling has taken a lot longer than anticpated. Guess I should get ready to hear that often throughout all this! The good news is that the "problems" they encountered were because of the house being over-built rather than some crazy bad problem.
Carter likes to lay on the floor above the basement while they hammer and saw on the ceiling below. He says "It's like a ride, mom!" It is quite a racket and shakes the floor.
